We're here to help
If you’re caring for someone with late-stage dementia, being able to support them in the place where they feel most comfortable and safe is so important. Marie Curie is here to help make that possible.
A Marie Curie Nurse will help you plan the care you need and organise regular visits to help you. Together, you’ll agree how much care you need and for how long.Once you have a plan, our team of Healthcare Assistants will visit regularly to give the person with dementia personal and emotional care, making sure they’re comfortable, and giving carers some respite.
Dementia Companion service
A trained Companion volunteer will provide regular support to you at home. A little time to yourself when you’re caring for someone can be vital for your own health and wellbeing. Marie Curie Companions offer companionship and emotional support, practical help with things like getting to appointments and household chores, and the chance for carers to take a break.
